The Gulf Arab nation will host the 2022 Fifa World Cup (Qatar) four-year football tournament in November 2022 and the president of world football's governing body, FIFA, said matches would be played at full capacity.

Most of Qatar's stadiums have been completed and construction is underway with three more stadiums, including the Lusail Stadium which will host the 2022 World Cup final and is currently 90% complete.

First Fifa World Cup in the Middle East

It will be the first time Qatar will host the world's largest Piala Dunia FIFA 2022 football tournament and the first time it will be held in the Muslim-majority Middle East.
